Scar Treatment
Scars are formed on the skin as a result of various traumas, injuries, illnesses, acne, or surgeries. During the healing process of damaged skin, collagen is produced, and the wound is filled with vascularized granulation tissue. Fresh scars appear reddish due to the presence of blood vessels. Over time, the vascularity decreases, and the scar becomes paler. Histologically, scars are composed of collagen fibers, which are less elastic than normal skin and do not contain nerves, hair follicles, or glands. The type of scar that develops depends on the nature of the injury, the depth of the wound, its location, age, and other variables.
Our available laser procedures are effective and safe for all types of scars. Our experienced doctors always tailor the applied technology to the unique characteristics of each scar.
